All Blocked Up

Hey there my New Year Kittens…

Okay, okay…so I’m a little late with the whole “New Year” comment….but, check this out…

I started a new fancy-shmancy kinda job and 100% thought THIS SITE WAS BLOCKED.  What a friggin waste of opportunity to find that, as you can see, I’m on here!

So, now it’s time to do a recap….Im actually a little embarrassed AND skerd to see when my last post was and what it was about so we are just gonna act like I ain’t missed much of a beat.  Well…sorta like a white girl that hangs around a lot of blacks…she ain’t gonna be completely off beat, ya know? 😉

Any-who…my lil faithful and loving “pirate” brother passed almost a year ago. It was a difficult and heavy ordeal in being his caregiver, but I NEVER would have had it any other way. (Sailed Away 4/13/59-2/13/14)

Sooo, I’m currently with a SUPA-DUPA FINE AZZ MAN…who loves me dearly and who I’m utterly in love with. Wedding bells?  HELL YEAH…8-8-15 (infinity times two…get it?).  We get along famously…but as with all relationships, we can rub each other the WRONG WAY…thankfully, we do some of the other kind of rubbing in all the right ways, so it balances out.

How can a whole year be summed up in a few sentences?? Weird…but I kinda just did.  Actually, I did leave out some stuff, but why dwell? Undoubtedly, I will make my way back around…why? Because I’m a woman, dammit, and that’s what we do….bring up OLD SH*T…so, stay tuned, hah.

***This just in….a co-worker let me know that our internet filters are down for the time being…(rubbing hands together)***

Sooo, the plan is to get back to blogging…didn’t appreciate all my “down time”…aka UNEMPLOYMENT TIME. We shall see as plans tend to change around my world.

On a side note, I’m not feeling the greatest about the current condition of my body…it’s been through a lot, thanks to stress, medications, weight gain/loss…so much so that I’m having some body image issues again…(says this while eating a snack-size Snickers).  This sux…but is also great material for another blog.

Social Media Two-Faced?

 

Morning Kittens…

I know most, if not ALL of you have seen the video of Beyonce’s sister, Solange, going ape sh*t on Jay-Z in an elevator.  Like many of you, I not only was shocked at her going all HAM on him, but really, REALLY wanted a taste of the dialog…and not the silly voice overs people have been posting, hah.  I want the REAL stuff.  Why did Bey give less than  a fraction of an effort to get in between or really stop the situation?  Was Solange defending her sister in some manner…was it more personal between her and Jay?

Knowing how private this couple is, unless Solange speaks out on it, we’ll never know.  And…truth be told, that’s ok.  It’s NONE of OUR business.

I saw sooooo many memes on facebook about the incident…some were sucky, others, really funny…and I chose to repost them.  Of course, this leads to the continuation of a problem or situation…fueling the fire, per se’.  Considering the fact that I like both artists, (Bey & Jay), am I being two-faced in the promotion of their embarrassment, or is it expected to have the public feast on this fodder?

We all know that even the most scandalous of events eventually die down, so one so silly as this will be a flash in the pan…but again I ask, is it two-faced of fans, admirers and otherwise supporters, to repost images and sayings that we would not hand off or show the person if they were next to us?

It’s really made me wonder and yes, I have them here again…but…they ARE funny…if only to ME.

I vow to be more aware of how I’m feeding into a frenzy…and will practice restraint in doing the very thing I wouldn’t want done to me.  But all things considered, even on their worst day, the masses still envy them and most would probably want their lives.

After this is over, they will continue eating, sleeping and living well…so ultimately, who is having the last laugh?
